Just One Thing with JP Vallières
JP Vallières’ February issue story “Model 646” has Adam and Eve and lots of eggs. What more could you want? Here he shares just one thing about the piece:
“A doctor put me on drugs for two years. The drugs prescribed took away all my stories. When I got off the drugs, I wrote Model 646. It felt like the very first thing I had ever written. I was a delivery driver and kept neglecting my duties by pulling over and writing on the backs of printed pick-up-lists. I thought it must be a very bad story, since I forgot how to write. But it made me laugh and feel, just like I used to laugh and feel.”
