Nneoma Kenure’s February issue memoir “Commit to Doughnuts” is easily one of the funniest pieces about pregnancy we’ve ever read. Here she shares just one thing about her work:

“With certain events you can tell even while they happen that you have to document them, that you’ll enjoy the telling no matter how any times you indulge, because it has so much room for embellishment. So, Commit to Doughnuts was easy to write, deciding to spell it ‘doughnuts' versus ‘donuts'- not so much.

Sometimes, I think I should write a fiction piece from Mr Adam’s POV. What's his story? What impression did that day leave on his mind?

Is he still pining for me? Will we ever come across each other but only after I divorce my husband who still doesn’t have a large Adam’s apple? Only time will tell.”
