Just One Thing with Łukasz Drobnik
Łukasz Drobnik’s January issue flash “Vacuoles” is a wonder within a wonder within a wonder. Here he shares just one thing about the piece:
“Sometimes I write a story that draws heavily from my background in life sciences. I have a master’s degree in biotechnology, and although I’ve never worked in a lab, my obsession with biology has often informed my professional and artistic choices. I’m perpetually amazed at the fact we’re all a sum of molecules organised into membranes, organelles, cells, tissues, and often channel this wonder into my writing. Can’t think of many things more awe-inspiring than the dance of your chromosomes during mitosis. Or the complex molecular machinery that makes perfect copies of your DNA, in millions of cells at once.”
