Just One Thing with Chloe Alberta

Chloe Alberta’s story “Renaissance” explores the widening gap between two friends. Here she shares just one thing about the piece:

"Renaissance" is loosely based on a trip I took to Italy with my childhood best friend a few years ago. We did indeed see the statue of David, but we spent the majority of our time in Florence sprinting from bathroom to bathroom with horrific, synchronized food poisoning. It was really gross; it really brought us together. We suspect the baked beans from the hostel breakfast buffet.
