"The painting mentioned in the story, Sea Painting I, is by Brice Marden and hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art. I’ve loved it since the first time I saw it. I try to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art when I’m in Ohio to see family, and every time I make sure to spend time with Sea Painting I. It feels like stopping by to see an old friend. An old friend who makes you truly contemplate limitless, expansive things like horizons, atmospheres, and the expanding universe.”
