Ray Im (@frameimagination) is a Korean-born American lens-based artist and ceramist in central Texas. He received his BFA in Studio Art at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Although Im began his career in digital film-making, he switched to photography and ceramics in 2014. His interest in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional surfaces stands from the textural and linear quality they both provide. Through his images, Im focuses on spatial division through the utilization of depth of field and variation of planes. In his three-dimensional ceramic works, he has centered on the relationship between volume and the formal lines of a three-dimensional object. Find him online here.
